Hand‑packed Filana beeswax crayons in the authentic Steiner 12‑color Waldorf classroom palette.
These economical bulk-packed sets are ideal for schools, homeschoolers, and art programs.
Filana crayons are smooth, richly pigmented, and designed for early‑grade drawing lessons where warmth, movement, and color layering are central to the curriculum.
Why These 12 Colors?
This set follows the original Steiner/Waldorf early‑grade palette, a developmental sequence used worldwide in Grades 1–3. These colors are not chosen for modern “art store completeness,” but for how children experience warmth, light, movement, and contrast. Each hue supports a specific part of early artistic development:
- Carmine Red 01– warm life‑force red
- Vermilion 02 – gesture and movement
- Golden Yellow 04 – warmth and light
- Lemon Yellow 05 – clarity and brightness
- Yellow Green 06 – plant and leaf green
- Green 07 – transition between warm and cool
- Blue 09 – structure and shadow
- Ultramarine 10 – deep sky blue
- Blue Violet 11 – quiet, inward tone
- Red Violet 12 – emotional/inner tone
- Red Brown 13 – grounding earth tone
- Black 15 – form, boundary, and contrast
Teachers rely on this exact palette for early‑grade drawing, color stories, and form work. It supports warm–cool relationships, light–dark exploration, and the gentle layering techniques used in Waldorf classrooms.
